Leave work early and join us for a sunny afternoon aboard a sailboat.
Come aboard this sailing adventure lead by a Coast Guard licensed captain. Learn to take the helm and handle the lines as we tack and jibe on the beautiful Willamette River. Experience the elegance and power of sailing. This course includes three hours of sailing and instruction.
About the Captain:
Shane St. Clair has over 25 years of maritime experience and is both U.S Coast Guard Licensed and an American Sailing Association Certified Sailing Instructor. He owns Scovare Yachts, a Portland -based business that offers sailing adventures, sailing lessons, dinner sails, weddings and corporate events. Shane also captains for the 150 foot Dinner cruise ship “Portland Spirit”. He spent four years captaining Canvasback, a 71′ aluminum sailing catamaran that delivered medical and dental services in the remote Pacific and became the organization’s development director in 1992.
