Mountain Leadership Institute operates as a non-profit organization with the purpose of making the outdoors accessible and providing students with skills for life. We recognize that there are so many under resourced students who can be deeply benefited from the powerful wilderness experience of an MLI course.

Personal and Business Contributors like you provide MLI with funds for scholarships for those who would like the opportunity of taking a course but can not afford it. These scholarships depend on donors like you. You can make a tax-deductible donation directly or you can email us and become a business sponsor with us. Please include us in your giving and make a positive difference in the lives of our young people.

Would you like to make a substantial difference in the life of a student? How about sponsoring gear for under-resourced students? We currently have needs for equipment to be used by students on courses. Many people have never had the opportunity of experiencing the wilderness because the cost of equipment is too much. Our goal is to make the outdoors accessible to under-resourced students while providing them with top-quality equipment. As a result, we provide a low–cost option for our students through our rental gear program. You can help these students by contributing financially to MLI or by donating high-quality, lightly-used, clean gear.
