To apply for an MLI course click below to download the PDF file, fill it out the application and send it in with a $50 non-refundable application fee. After reviewing your application you will be enrolled in the course of your choice provided there is available space. We will then send you a packet with your registration and further information regarding your course. You are not officially registered until MLI has received your tuition as well as reviewed all of your forms and documents. MLI reserves the right to deny acceptance to anyone that MLI, in its sole discretion, believes is unable to meet the mental, physical, social, or safety demands of our courses.
Scholarships
We believe that no one should be deprived of the outdoors due to finances. At MLI, we want to work with you so that you can have the opportunity of taking an MLI course. There are several ways that we can help. First, fill out the scholarship application and we will provide you with fundraising options to get you started (we are even willing to come to your church or community to present the benefits of an MLI course and ask for support on your behalf). Second, we will provide you with a scholarship request form that will be submitted to our scholarship team. Our goal is to make the outdoors accessible, so don’t let finances be your limiting factor. We are here to help.
Student Conduct
MLI looks for students, who demonstrate a curiosity to learn, seek leadership development, are in good physical, mental and emotional health and demonstrate socially responsible behavior. MLI is not designed to be a rehab for addictions, behavioral, or psychological issues. Students that we perceive to be unable to handle any of the physical, social, mental, or safety demands of our courses will not be accepted.
MLI does not permit the use of drugs, alcohol or smoking on any of our courses. Any student who is in possession of or using the aforementioned items will be expelled. MLI also reserves the right to expel any student who engages in harassment, unsafe behavior, dishonesty, theft, or distractive behavior from the mission of the course. No refunds are offered for expulsion.
